unequal justice
In the halls of justice,
Where fairness is the rule,
There are those who are favored,
And those who are mere fools.
Their skin color or their status,
Determine the path they take,
The scales of justice unbalanced,
And the poor left in their wake.
For those with money and power,
The law is but a game,
Their guilt can be brushed aside,
While the innocent take the blame.
But for those without a voice,
Justice is hard to find,
Their cries go unheard,
Their pain left far behind.
Unequal justice is the norm,
In a world that's far from just,
Until the scales are balanced,
We'll all be left to rust.
So let us fight for fairness,
For the truth to be set free,
Until all are treated equally,
We'll never truly be free
