Rainy day grey poem
On a rainy day so grey and drear,
The world outside seems cold and clear, The sky is shrouded in a misty veil, And the raindrops patter without fail.
The streets are slick with puddles deep, And people scurry with hurried feet, Umbrellas bloom like flowers in bloom, As the rain continues to drip and loom.
But in the midst of this soggy scene, There's a certain charm that can't be seen, The raindrops falling with a gentle sound, Creating a peacefulness all around.
So though the day may be wet and grey, There's a beauty to it in its own way, And as we huddle beneath our umbrellas, We can appreciate the rain's sweet melodies.
